FULL-TIME CLASS “A” MECHANIC – WATERFORD TWP. DPW
The Township of Waterford is seeking a qualified candidate to perform the duties of Class A Mechanic. REQUIREMENTS: Must have verifiable experience with diesel and gasoline engines; Will be responsible for maintaining a fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. Experience with air brakes & hydraulics; Must possess excellent electrical diagnostic and repair skills; Ability to utilize diagnostic computer to troubleshoot & diagnose mechanical and electrical problems; Basic welding skills (Oxy-acetylene/ MIG); Knowledge of refuse and off highway equipment preferred; ASE certifications preferred; Must possess a valid New Jersey Driver’s license in good standing; Must possess a CDL class A; Salary will be commensurate with experience and the salary range will be $56,347.20 to $77,792.00. Includes full benefit package with paid time-off, health benefits, pension, and annual salary increases. Candidate must successfully pass a drug screening and background check. Department of Public Works is Hiring!
Department of Public Works Driver/Laborer
Waterford Township / Camden County
Waterford Township is accepting applications for the position of driver/laborer for the Department of Public Works. Duties include but are not limited to buildings and ground maintenance, grass cutting, storm sewer maintenance, trash truck driving/operation, road maintenance, snow plowing, paving, and driving vehicles that require a Class B CDL. Applicants should be able to perform manual labor under all weather conditions and be able to understand and carry out verbal instructions. Applicants must be able to safely operate grass cutting equipment, chainsaws, chippers, snow blowers, leaf machines, and similar equipment as directed. Applicant must also have a valid NJ Driver’s license with a Class B CDL endorsement with air brakes. Successful applicants must undergo a background check and drug test prior to employment. Employment is expected to begin ASAP. Interested applicants must complete an employment application on the Township website www.waterfordtwp.org or by emailing the Township Clerk, Dawn Liedtka at clerk@waterfordtwp.org. Applications can be emailed to the Township Clerk or dropped off at the Municipal Building at 2131 Auburn Avenue, Atco, NJ in an envelope marked ATTN Township Clerk.
